Every room is unique and tastefully decorated by South African designer, Etienne Hanekom. Our villa which had its own private pool was decorated in hues of tropical greens and blues.

Head Chef of Majeka Kitchen, Chef Lucas Carstens celebrates hyper-local ingredients that lend his dishes a distinct taste and texture of the Cape. He sources nearly all of the produce for his contemporary cuisine from within a 20-kilometre radius of his Stellenbosch kitchen.
The strong South African-ness of his cooking shines through and the menu retains the small plates design, a style that dispenses with the traditional starter, main and dessert classifications. Guests are invited to enjoy a more complete and diverse experience of the kitchen’s capabilities with dishes available in smaller sizes and sharing encouraged. Diners may compile their own menu from three to five “small plates” per person. Lucas and his team have also paired every small plate with wines from across the region and made the pairing option available.

The handcrafted petrol-blue bar with French-inspired armchairs entices resident guests to settle in for pre and post dinner cocktails, while a deep buttoned leather couch at the wood burning fire place tempts for lazy afternoons. A concise selection of gourmet bar snacks and bistro dishes (think steak frites with bearnaise) is on offer here for guests throughout the day.

The Breakfast buffet at Majeka Kitchen is a colourful spread showcasing a selection of freshly squeezed juices, bakes, jams, yoghurts, granola’s, cheeses and fruits.
